A Day of Fun & Giving Back
The 2024 Harvard Gulch Invitational was another incredible success! Hosted annually at the beautiful Harvard Gulch Golf Course in Denver, this charity event brings together the local community, sponsors, and golfers to raise funds for the Cottonwood Institute, a nonprofit dedicated to connecting middle and high school students to nature and inspiring them to protect it.
This year, we raised over $12,000 to support Cottonwood Institute’s Changemakers Outdoor Leadership Corps (COLC). Launched in 2020, COLC empowers young people to build leadership skills, foster lasting friendships, and drive change in their communities through outdoor education and personal growth.

A Fun-Filled Day of Golf and Competition
The Invitational was packed with excitement, as participants competed in various categories for top honors. Here’s a quick rundown of this year’s winners:
- Team Champions: CoBank #2 (Score: 27)
- Men’s Champion: Peter Verbeten (Score: 28)
- Women’s Champion: Jill Selman (Score: 32)
- Rooster Platter Winner: Jacob Paul
- Sweepstakes Winner: Janet Harrison (Field station at Moab/Joshua Tree)
Special achievements like Closest to the Pin and Longest Putt added even more fun to the event, with players taking on creative challenges. We even had a few costumes, hockey sticks, and croquet mallets show up for some added entertainment!
